Is your child struggling at home? Do you feel like you have tried it all and nothing is working? Families are complex organisms. As such, it is imperative that everyone in the family is functioning together.  I provide family therapy to help the whole family improve or rebuild their functioning. We will work together to correct negative patterns, learn new skills and teach coping strategies so your family can grow together. I believe in collaborating with parents to support positive behaviors and reduce or eliminate challenging behaviors in their children. You are the expert in your child so we design and implement behavior plans together that will work in your home. I teach evidence-based parenting techniques that are effective and foster healthy childhood development. I come to your home, where your family is most comfortable. This allows me to better understand how interactions are shaping and reinforcing challenging behaviors.

Is your child struggling at school?  If there are behaviors that are impeding your child from accessing the curriculum we can work to eliminate them so that he/she is functioning at optimal levels. The most important thing to do is to understand what is reinforcing the behavior and then we can work to change it.  I am very well versed in Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA). I will come to your home or to your childs school to observe and take data which I then will analyze to compile the FBA. I can also work with your childs teacher/school to implement a behavior support plan (BSP) and provide clear and concise instructions on how to manage specific behaviors. I can offer suggestions to the school staff, I can teach school aids how to implement support plans, and I can provide assistance to you during the IEP process.

Does your child need extra support in the classroom setting to be able to thrive and learn? I have a team of trained behavior technicians that can accompany your child to school and help them be their best. I work with several public and private schools in the area.I provide behavior support in the classroom environment and implementation of Individualized education plans so your child can access the education they deserve.
